Sweetgreens To Open Second Long Island Location in Woodbury

Share

Sweetgreens is on a roll here on Long Island. With their first location already opened in Garden City and another planned for Huntington, they are expanding at a frantic pace.

A second restaurant on Long Island will open on Tuesday, November 1 in Woodbury at 7969 Jericho Turnpike in the Woodbury Village shopping mall.

The fast-casual chain serves up freshly prepared salads from their signature menu items or make-your-own.

For every meal sold on opening day, Sweetgreen says it will donate a meal to Island Harvest to nourish Long Island families experiencing food insecurity. Island Harvest has been leading hunger relief on Long Island since 1992, distributing fresh produce and assisting thousands of Long Islanders daily through innovative programs and community partners.

The 2,885-sq-ft location will feature natural stone, outdoor string lights, sculptural metals and glass in its designs. The restaurant space will accommodate 28 diners inside and will feature a large seasonal patio. Sweetgreen has also commissioned Aliyah Salmon, a New York-based multidisciplinary textile artist, to create a series of four art pieces to be displayed at the new location. Additionally, on opening day sweetgreen will highlight Salmon’s work with an opening party featuring live music and surprise giveaways!

Alongside staple menu items, the Woodbury location will open with Sweetgreen’s fall menu, which brings the Curry Cauliflower Bowl and Buffalo Cauliflower side dish with regionally sourced cauliflower from Turek Farm, as well as the Chicken and Brussels Bowl.

Location:  7969 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury.
