Green Acres, a premier shopping center located in Valley Stream, New York, welcomes JD Sports, a leading retailer of fashionable sportswear and sneakers, as a new retailer. The grand opening drew strong crowds and high energy, marking the brand’s latest expansion and reinforcing its appeal among fashion and sneaker-driven consumers.
Located right next to the newly expanded Foot Locker, the new JD Sports store features a curated mix of globally recognized brands including Nike, adidas, Jordan, Champion, Vans and The North Face, alongside JD Sports’ own-label offerings such as Pink Soda Sport and Supply & Demand.
The grand opening celebration featured a live in-store DJ and promotional activations that created a lively atmosphere and lines out the door throughout the day. Following the opening, JD Sports extended the excitement with a multi-day sneaker raffle from Monday, Jan. 12, through Wednesday, Jan. 14, offering customers the chance to win highly coveted Jordan styles, including the Gamma 11s and Jordan 4 Black Cats.

JD Sports’ new location marks another step in Green Acres’ ongoing transformation as Long Island’s leading shopping destination. The opening builds on the center’s recent wave of highly anticipated additions including Shoprite, The Cheesecake Factory, Paris Baguette, Tony’s Tacos, Panda Express, Shake Shack, Sephora and Dave’s Hot Chicken. The center’s overarching redevelopment will reimagine the former Kohl’s department store and will introduce outward-facing storefronts, inviting green spaces, open-air dining areas and a striking new grand entrance in the northeast wing.
