Town of Brookhaven Announces Successful Veterans Food Drive

Share

Recently, Supervisor Ed Romaine, Deputy Supervisor Dan Panico and Councilwoman Jane Bonner displayed the results of the Town of Brookhaven’s Division of Veteran Services Food Drive.
Working in partnership with the Suffolk County Veterans Services Agency, the town collected non-perishable food donations at four Brookhaven Town locations. As the donations were received, the Division of Veterans Services worked with local veterans’ organizations to distribute the food directly to veterans and their families.
The Division of Veterans Services distributes food to veterans who visit the office at Brookhaven Town Hall and they work with local Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) representatives to distribute the donations directly to veterans and their families.
A portion of the donations will be set aside at the office of the Division of Veterans Services at Brookhaven Town Hall to distribute to veterans on an as-needed basis.
For more information about the services provided by the Division of Veterans Services, please call 631-451-6574. The hours of operation are Tuesday, Thursday and every other Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
