Knife-Wielding Man in Custody after Vandalizing Door of Uniondale Business, Cops Say

The First Squad reports the details of a Criminal Mischief that occurred at 4:50pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023 in Uniondale.
According to Detectives, Officers responded to 641 Uniondale Avenue for a white male who entered the parking lot driving a white van. The subject exited the van and while carrying a large knife, walked over to the front doors and began striking them with the knife.
After a short time, the subject left the scene and witnesses recorded the van information.  No injuries were reported.
The estimated damage is approximately $1000.00 US currency.
Subsequent to the investigation, at 6:35pm Officers located the subject in front of 7 Grenada Avenue and placed him into custody without incident.
Defendant Sami Issa, 49, of 623 Conklin Street Farmingdale is charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. He was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable on Thursday, June 29, 2023 to First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
