Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Lawrence) partnered with community leaders Gabriella Hart and Linda Bindrato collect hundreds of books, toys, games, articles of clothing and household items to benefit deserving Legislative District 3 families.
Books collected through this drive were given to the Economic Opportunity Commission (EOC) of Nassau County so that they can be distributed to Head Start programs throughout the County. Clothing and household items were donated to Reverend Edy Bichotte of the Bethany French Baptist Church in Elmont and will be distributed to community members in need.
“As we emerge from difficult times and build a solid foundation for our future, efforts to support the the education and overall well-being of children and families in our community is especially important,” Legislator Solages said. “I am thankful for the generosity shown by community leaders like Gabriella and Linda and the giving spirit that made this drive such a great success.”
