Grand opening at the beginning of March brought a coffee spot to West Main area.
Milano Bean Cafe, a new coffee hangout, has just opened on Main Street in East Islip and locals are stoked to have a great cafe near them.
The interior is a modern design with variegated wood walls, a cool yet cozy vibe and a selection of coffees and pastries. No menu is available yet online but they plan to have one up on their website very soon.

According to reports, the cafe occupies the space of a former thrift shop.
On Yelp, Theresa S, from Islip Terrace, said her daughter clued her into the new coffee shop.
“Wow,” she wrote. “So, so happy she did ! It’s great to finally have something local! I stopped in today to check it out and was drooling at the phenomenal assortment of pastry’s (sic), muffins, scones and more.”
She had a cup of hot Latte Macchiato with almond milk while there.
“Yummy and very well processed,” she said. “The new owners were incredibly friendly and their prices are pretty reasonable.”
She said the shop is clean, inviting and cozy.

“The cutest local coffee place, I have been waiting for one of these,” wrote Jenna H, of Islip Terrace. “Super cute decor and the staff is very friendly. Not bad prices either, ice coffee is delicious!! Will be coming back for sure, I highly recommend.”
