It’s pretty commonly understood that Chinese food is one of THE BEST takeout dinner options, but why is the Northeast U.S. ordering it so much during Christmas?
According to a new report from Coventry Direct, the Northeast comprises all of the top 10 states searching for “Chinese Food Near Me” during the week of Christmas over the past five years. Check out the map here:
Literally every state in the top 10 is in the northeastern part of the U.S., with New York ranking as the #7 state searching for Chinese food on Christmas the most.
Wondering why? Word on the street is that Chinese restaurants are often some of the only ones open on Christmas across the country, as most businesses shut down for the holiday. As a result, many families have made it a tradition to order Chinese takeout on Christmas!
