Cops: Homeless Man Hides in Garbage Can at Rockville Centre Business, Pops Out and Attempts to Kidnap Woman

The First Squad reports the arrest of an undomiciled man for an Attempted Kidnapping that occurred on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 6:00 am in Rockville Centre.
According to Detectives, a 48- year-old female victim arrived and was attempting to enter her place of employment. The defendant Isaac Diaz Tollinchi, 56, who was discreetly hiding in a garbage pail, attempted to grab the victim and forcibly walk her towards his vehicle. The victim was able to break free, run away and call police. The defendant fled scene in an unknown direction.
Subsequent to the investigation, on Thursday, April 4, 2024, the defendant was located nearby the victim’s residence and was placed into police custody without incident. No injuries were reported.
Defendant Isaac Diaz Tollinchi is charged with Attempted Kidnapping 2nd Degree and Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, April 5, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead.
