The First Squad reports the arrest of two men for an incident that occurred on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 2:03 am in Uniondale.
According to Detectives, First Precinct officers while on routine patrol observed a black 2018 Volvo speeding while traveling westbound on Front Street. Officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop at the intersection of Front Street and Compass Street.
During their investigation, a white powdery substance believed to Crack Cocaine and a loaded silver 9mm handgun were recovered from inside the vehicle. The operator of the vehicle, Jordan Lightbourne, 36, of 56 Manor Parkway, Uniondale and the passenger Michael Swanston, 38, of 21528 Murdock Avenue, Queens Village were placed under arrest without incident.
Both defendants are charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. They will be arraigned on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
