Nassau County Police Raid Three Businesses in Roosevelt and Uniondale, Seize Multiple Illegal Gambling Machines

The First Precinct reports the arrest of three men during a Quality-of-Life Initiative that was conducted on Sunday, March 24, 2024 in Roosevelt and Uniondale.
According to officers, an initiative was conducted to investigate illegal activity at the following locations: Miguel’s Deli – located at 243 Nassau Road, Roosevelt. Officers located two (2) hidden rooms which had magnetic latches activated by remote.  Each room contained two (2) gambling machines.  Officers seized four (4) gambling machines and $2,622 in US currency.  Rosa Galdamez, 47, of 1130 Myron Street, Uniondale, was issued multiple Appearance Tickets; all returnable to First District Court, Hempstead, on April 8, 2024.
Nassau Road Fish Market – located at 245 A Nassau Road, Roosevelt.  Officers located three (3) gambling machines on the premise and were seized.  Rafael Osorio, 27, of 346 N Columbus Avenue, Freeport, will be issued multiple Appearance Tickets at a later date.
Glazed & Grill Deli – located at 566 Jerusalem Avenue, Uniondale.  Officers located a gambling machine.  The machine and $214 in US currency were seized.  Hezam Nagi, 39, of 89 N. Burgher Avenue in Staten Island, was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to First District Court, Hempstead, on April 8, 2024.
