38th Annual Brookhaven Women’s Recognition Awards Recipients Announced

Supervisor Daniel J. Panico has announced the recipients of the 2024 Women’s Recognition Awards who were honored at the 38th Annual Women’s Recognition Night to be held on March 21 at 6:00 p.m. at Brookhaven Town Hall, One Independence Hill in Farmingville.

The event, which was open to the public, was sponsored by the Town’s Office of Women’s Services, Department of General Services. Nominated by members of the community, the winners either live or work in the Town of Brookhaven and have demonstrated excellence in their endeavors in a variety of areas.

Nominations were considered by members of Brookhaven’s Women’s Advisory Board and selected based on resumes and letters of recommendation. The 2024 Women’s Recognition Award winners are:

Business: Graciela Carrillo (Selden)
Communications/Media: Ana Maria Caraballo Gonzalez (Port Jefferson)
Community Service Professional: Dr. Marisa Bisiani DNP, ANP-BC (Miller Place)
Community Service Volunteer: Linda Nuszen (Patchogue)
Education: Ana Martinez-Fuentes (Patchogue)
Government: Vanessa Pino-Lockel (Riverhead)
Medicine: Dr. Heather Findletar-Hines
Law Enforcement / First Responders: Officer Stacie Pollio (Sayville)
Health Care Provider: Shayna Melissa Stockman (Medford)
Military: Master Sergeant Shannon L. Clementi (Ridge)
Religion: Yolanda J. Johnson (Bellport)
Science: Dr. Elspeth McSweeney (Port Jefferson)
Sports: Nicolle Marie Messina (Middle Island)
