TV’s Comedy Hit “Impractical Jokers” Airs Segment Filmed at Long Island Dress Shop

The long-running television hidden-camera prank comedy show, Impractical Jokers, recently aired an episode that featured a segment filmed at a Long Island dress shop.

The segment, filmed at Estelle’s Dressy Dresses of Farmingdale, featured cast member James “Murr” Murray receiving a “punishment” for scoring the lowest in the number of successful pranks he managed to pull off during the episode, which aired on February 8 on TruTV and TBS.

Impractical Jokers episodes take the form of a competition amongst the cast members – along with Murr, there are also Sal Vulcano and Brian “Q” Quinn, with long-time fellow castmate Joe Gatto having recently departed the show – who engage in a light-hearted public buffoonery to see how far they can push each others boundaries.

At the end, the “big loser” that lags behind in the evening’s “challenges” is assigned a punishment at the end of the episode that typically involves being humiliated in some outrageous manner.

For his punishment at Estelle’s Dressy Dresses , Murr – along with guest star Bobby Moynihan of “Saturday Night Live” fame – was forced to pose at a consultant at the shop and carry out bizarre antics in front of clueless customers…which is always the fate one of the unfortunate cast members in every episode of the popular show.
