Nassau Cops Seeking Sacrilegious Suspect Who Broke into Mineola Church, Pilfered Poor Boxes

The Third Squad reports a Burglary that occurred on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 4:09PM in Mineola.
According to Detectives, a unknown subject entered the Corpus Christi Church, located at 155 Garfield Avenue and approached four donation boxes, breaking each of them and taking an unknown amount of US Currency. The subject then fled the church on foot in an unknown direction. The investigation is ongoing.
The subject is described as a male black, approximately 35-years-old, last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, tan ski cap, grey sneakers and a surgical mask covering his face.
Detectives request anyone with information regarding the above listed incident to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or to call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
