A New York man hit it big this week, winning a New York State lottery scratch off game that ultimately resulted in him suddenly finding himself $5 million richer.
Raymond Yancey of Yonkers, who currently resides in Westchester County, won the top prize of the Cash Royale scratch-off game, according to representatives of the New York State Lottery.
Yancey had purchased the life-changing ticket at a ShopRite supermarket located at 29 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains.
Going against the grain when compared to most lottery winners who typically opt to receive their winnings in one lump sum, Yancy decided to instead Receive his payments on an annual basis, which will be distributed to him in the amount of $158,186 – after required taxes and withholdings – each year for the next 20 years.
