The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Monday, January 1, 2024 at 5:12 p.m. in Roslyn Heights.
According to Detectives, a male pedestrian, 91, was attempting to cross Mineola Avenue in the vicinity of Hillside Avenue when he was struck by a dark colored SUV traveling northbound on Mineola Avenue. The unknown driver fled the scene. The male pedestrian suffered severe trauma and was transported to a local hospital where he is in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
