The Major Case Bureau reports the details of a shooting that occurred on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 12:20 am in New Cassel.
According to Detectives, Third Precinct officers responded to Oliver Street and Elton Street for a male shot. Upon arrival officers located a 21-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his left leg. Officers applied a tourniquet to the victim’s leg and he was transported by a Nassau County Police Department Ambulance to a local hospital where he is in stable condition.
No other injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
