NCPD: Homeless Man Arrested in Connection with Series of Robberies at Baldwin Gas Station

The First Squad reports on an Arrest for a Robbery that occurred on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 12:20 AM in Baldwin.
According to Detectives, defendant Niheim Levy, 44, homeless, walked into a Sunoco Gas Station located at 1738 Grand Avenue. He grabbed a pack of beer and exited the store, passing all points of purchase. Defendant Niheim Levy then returned to the same location a short time later and grabbed another pack of beer and passed all points of purchase before fleeing. Both times as he fled the store, he made threatening gestures towards the 59-year-old male employee with his hands in his jacket, inferring that he had a weapon if he attempted to stop him.
Officers located defendant Niheim Levy shortly after on Grand Avenue near the Sunoco Gas Station and placed him under arrest without incident. No weapons were located on the defendant and no injuries reported at scene.
Defendant Niheim Levy is charged with Robbery 1st degree, Robbery 2nd degree and two counts of Petit Larceny. He will be arraigned Friday, December 15, 2023 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
