The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a Valley Stream woman for an incident that occurred on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 10:15 pm in Valley Stream.
According to Detectives, Fifth Precinct officers responded to 24/7 Mart, located at 52 W. Sunrise Highway for a disturbance involving an intoxicated female. Upon police arrival, officers observed Christine Rogers, 35, of 43 Rockaway Avenue, acting erratically. The defendant refused to comply with officer’s orders and attempted to slam her head against the store glass.
A Nassau County Police Department Ambulance responded and as officers were placing the defendant onto a stretcher, she bit one of the officers on the forearm. The defendant was placed under arrest and the officer and the defendant were both transported to local hospitals for treatment and evaluation. No other injuries were reported.
Defendant Rogers is charged with Assault 2nd Degree. She was arraigned at First District Court, 99 main Street, Hempstead.
