Looking to Tie the Knot on a Budget? Windows on the Lake of Ronkonkoma Offers Off-Season Discounts to Help Make Your Dreams Come True

Share

When it comes to a bride and groom joining together in wedded matrimony, few things can contribute more to their fond memories of the illustrious event than holding it in the ideal location, and Windows on the Lake of Ronkonkoma, New York – a lush and luxurious event-hosting venue – has been building a stellar reputation over the past 30 years for making the dreams of their clients come true.

One of the most striking things about Windows on the Lake is their spacious, 25-foot-high ceilings in the venue’s main ballroom – The Rainbow Room – that mimic the sky by way of a beautiful mural; the venue itself is situated next to a lake, which has a lovely setting where people love to hold outdoor weddings, as well.

While the idea of having the wedding of your dreams can, in reality, be an expensive proposition, holding your nuptials in what is considered the off-season can help couples on a budget have the celebration they’ve always wanted for a fraction of the cost, according to Windows on the Lake owner and founder Anthony Pellegrino.

“For winter weddings, we offer people a very affordable package which is excellent for those who are looking to save money,” he said. “Besides, more people are getting interested in getting married during the winter months than you might think. People often propose during the holiday season, or it might be their anniversary for when they got engaged, so they might want to get married on that date as well. From Thanksgiving on through New Year’s, that’s a very popular time for proposals, so we often see a bump in weddings during that time period.”

Windows on the Lake will be hosting a wedding showcase at their establishment on January 21 at 1 p.m., highlighting all of the different deals that they can offer to couples. You’ll be able to get up close and personal with their in-house photographer, videographer, caterers, DJ, and more, in addition to getting to check out the beautiful venue itself.

“It’s a vendor showcase, but it’s also an open house for Windows on the Lake itself where people can get to taste the food and tour the venue,” he said. “All of our vendors have been with us for a very long time and we actually sell everything…we can be a one-stop shop for all of your wedding needs, and that’s how we can make more affordable weddings happen because we take out the middlemen.”

“It’s like when you hire someone to build a house and they subcontract with all these different people…that’s generally what we do,” Pellegrino continued. “And because we give these people so much business they give us a break, and we pass that savings on to our customers.”

The wedding plans windows on the Lake offers are very versatile, and customers can take a mix-and-match approach to the package they select. For example, Pellegrino noted, if someone wants a more extravagant catering experience, they can remove something else – say, the videographer, for example – from the equation and instead devote those resources to the food instead.

“You can customize the wedding in any way that you want here,” he said. “Our other company, Events Unlimited, handles all of our wedding packages, not only for our venue, but for other venues and customers across Long Island.”

The discounts that Windows on the Lake offers on their wedding packages during the winter months can be quite the boon for budget-conscious couples, with as much as a third off of the venue’s normal prices.

“Our busiest times for weddings are typically between May and October, and that’s the most expensive time of the year to get married,” Pellegrino said. “However, at Windows on the Lake, anywhere between December through March you can get a discount off our normal rates by as much as 25 to 30 percent. So, getting married during the off-season will save you a ton of money.”

Pellegrino noted that his off-season wedding customers are, in some ways, more essential to his business than the ones who get married during the typical wedding season.

“We actually need the people who get married in the off -season more than the people who get married during the high season,” he said. “Everyone wants to get married during the high season, just like everyone wants to get married on a Saturday night. However, not everyone can afford that, so that’s why the other days of the week fill in.”
