The Public Information Office reports the details of a Vehicular Accident that occurred on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 9:11 PM in Bellmore.
According to Police, a 17-year-old female was operating a black 2024 Chevrolet Equinox eastbound on Merrick Road when an unknown red vehicle operated by an unknown driver, struck the rear of her vehicle causing her to lose control.
The collision caused the female operator to swerved off the roadway, strike a fence and continued into Whaleneck Creek Culvert. The female exited her vehicle safely and awaited police arrival. No vehicular fluids were discharged into the creek.
The operator of the red vehicle left scene with properly identifying themselves. The female driver was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation.
