From Paw Patrol pups, superheroes, princesses and more, yesterday, October 31st, NYU Langone Hospital — Long Island showed off the Island’s cutest and smallest Halloween costumes! Some of the area’s tiniest babies and their families got into the Halloween spirit by dressing up in costume for the festivities that happened in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Nearly two dozen babies participated in this much-anticipated annual tradition, hailing from Queens to Massapequa. Costumes were lovingly handmade, as they must fit babies who may be only a couple of pounds in size and the families tried to get as creative as they could.
This Halloween event always provides the parents of these newborns, including many born prematurely, the opportunity to create a special memory while their infants are still in the hospital, since they cannot yet stroll among trick-or-treaters in their own neighborhoods.
