Nassau Police Report Numerous “Quality of Life” Arrests Made at and Around Green Acres Mall

The Public Information Office reports the details of multiple arrests made by the Fifth Precinct within the confines of Nassau County on Thursday, October 12, 2023.
Nassau County Police conducted a “Quality of Life and Traffic Safety Enforcement” operation targeting various locations in and around the Green Acres Mall.
The following defendants were arrested:
  • Angel D. Cruz-Torres, 21, of 81 W Yaphank Road, Coram was in possession of a forged Inspection Sticker. He is charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He will be arraigned on Friday, October 13, 2023 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
  • Sabrina Mohammed, 33, of 22 Brooks Avenue, Roosevelt for Grand Larceny 4th Degree from Macy’s located at 1000 Green Acres Mall, Valley Stream. She was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable on October 26, 2023 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
  • Francis Y. Ortega-Hernandez, 51, of 634 Beach Channel Drive, Far Rockaway for Petit Larceny from Walmart located at 77 Green Acres Road W, Valley Stream. He was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable on October 26, 2023 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
A total of 51 traffic violations and 31 parking violations were issued to various motorists. Additionally, officers impounded one (1) vehicle and three (3) mopeds.
