The Homicide Squad report the details of a Serious Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 7:48 pm in Merrick.
According to detectives, a female pedestrian, 44, was struck on Merrick Avenue at the intersection of Miller Place by a 2019 Audi, operated by a 73-year-old male.
As a result of the collision, the female pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. She is currently listed in critical condition.
The driver remained at the scene.
No further injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
