Share

Rep. Nick LaLota (NY-01) announced that the Suffolk County Water Authority was awarded $3,500,000 by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for water infrastructure and to improve the quality of drinking water across Suffolk County.
“Ensuring that Long Islanders have access to clean water from a reliable source is vital to our collective health and well-being,” said LaLota. “Investing in our communities is a win every time. I will always fight so Long Island families get the best return on their tax dollars.”
Background:
In Fiscal Year 2022 (FY22), Congress appropriated resources for 483 congressionally directed water infrastructure projects through EPA Community Grants. These projects provide a valuable source of federal funding for water infrastructure.
