The New York State Department of Transportation has announced multiple closures in Oyster Bay this week for several highway maintenance projects.
The following closures will take affect on Monday, July 17 and Wednesday, July 19, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on both days, if weather conditions permit:
- Long Island Expressway Exit 44 westbound side and Exit 44S eastbound side (exits for the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway)
- Southbound Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway ramp on the eastbound lanes of Jericho Turnpike
- Two lanes between Jericho Turnpike and Northern State Parkway on the southbound Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway
Motorists are reminded to drive with caution; officials saythat speeding fines are twice as high in designated work zones.
