On June 28, 2023, Deputy Sheriff Investigators from the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Bureau arrested John Ford, 64, of West Babylon, as a fugitive from justice from the State of Georgia on felony charges of Aggravated Assault and Making Terroristic Threats. Ford was arrested at his home in West Babylon on an outstanding warrant out of the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia.
Ford was the subject of a federal investigation. The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Bureau investigators assisted the NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Regional Office of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms in making this arrest. Ford will be arraigned this afternoon at Suffolk County First District Court on the above charges pending extradition to Georgia.
