The First Squad reports on the arrest of a Roosevelt man for the Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 10:45 PM in Uniondale.
According to Detectives, Officers were on patrol in the vicinity of Greengrove Avenue when they observed a male subject walking on Front Street failing to yield to oncoming traffic. Officers attempted to conduct an investigation when the subject fled, crossing onto Greengrove Avenue. Defendant Kenneth Edwards, 30, of 57 E Clinton Avenue was soon after placed under arrest and following an investigation a loaded firearm belonging to him was recovered.
Defendant Kenneth Edwards is charged with the Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree and Failing to Yield the Right of Way other than a Crosswalk.
He was arraigned on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
