Grand Opening of Renewable Energy/STEM Center at Suffolk County Community College Brentwood Campus

Recently, Town of Brookhaven Supervisor Ed Romaine was a guest speaker at the grand opening of the Renewable Energy/STEM Center on the Michael J. Grant Campus of Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood. During the event, Supervisor Romaine presented a Certificate of Congratulations to Dr. Edward Bonahue, president of Suffolk County Community College, to commemorate the grand opening.
Mr. Bonahue also announced a naming gift in partnership with National Grid to the college establishing the National Grid Center for Workforce and Energy Innovation. Also pictured is Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
The $21.3 million Renewable Energy/STEM Center is home to state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms for instruction on the installation, maintenance and repair of solar, photovoltaic, wind, geothermal and other green power technologies, as well as cybersecurity, biology and workforce programs.
