Man Arrested for Throwing Rocks at Buses in Suffolk County

On Sunday, April 16, two separate incidents occurred in Suffolk County, specifically in Nesconset and the Village of the Branch in the town of Smithtown. According to the Suffolk County Police, the first incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. when a Regency Transportation bus, with the driver sitting behind the wheel, was parked on Southern Boulevard in Nesconset. A rock hit the windshield, causing it to crack.
Less than an hour later, at around 9:24 a.m., a Suffolk County Transportation bus was traveling northbound on Route 111 in the Village of the Branch when a rock broke through the windshield and shattered a glass partition inside the cab.
Fourth Squad detectives conducted an investigation and arrested Edward Wisneski of Hauppauge on Sunday, April 23, at his residence. Wisneski was charged with reckless endangerment and two counts of criminal mischief.
He was detained overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is expected to appear in court in Central Islip on Monday, April 24.
