The Public Information Office reports on the arrest of three Venezuelan men for the Criminal Possession of Stolen Property that occurred on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 8:25 PM in East Garden City.
According to Police, Third Precinct Officers on routine patrol on Ring Road West observed a grey 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee with three male occupants traveling northbound committing a traffic infraction. Officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop. Officers observed numerous items of merchandise in the vehicle that had their tags and security features still affixed. After conducting an investigation, the operator, defendant Jan Carlos Eduardo Narvaez Rangel, 30; front seat passenger, defendant Brianny Gerardo Guevara Fernandez, 26 and rear seat passenger, defendant Jario Joel Palacios Mederico, 19, were all placed under arrest without incident.
Defendant Jan Carlos Eduardo Narvaez Rangel is charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree, Grand Larceny 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree and Possession of Burglar Tools.
Defendants Brianny Gerardo Guevara Fernandez and Jario Joel Palacios Mederico are both charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree, Grand Larceny 3rd degree and Possession of Burglar Tools.
All three defendants will be arraigned on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
