Four Suspects Accused of Series of Larcenies from Parked Vehicles in Wantagh, Searingtown

The First Squad reports the arrest of four individuals for committing larcenies from parked vehicles on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 5:19 a.m. in Wantagh.
According to Detectives, Officers received a call for multiple individuals going through parked cars on Lawrence Drive. Officers located a stolen white Jaguar that matched the suspect’s vehicle description which was involved in a prior auto accident on Oakfield Avenue in North Bellmore. Three male suspects fled the scene on foot.
Patrol Officers and the K-9 Unit canvassed the area, quickly setting up a perimeter. During the course of the search, Officers noticed a black Honda Accord circling the area in a suspicious manner. Officers identified the driver as Linette Kay Richards, 21, of 1596 Johnson Avenue in Elmont. She was arrested in connection with the larcenies.
After an extensive search police located and arrested the remaining three suspects: Jean Renoldson, 22, of 9208 Rost Place in Brooklyn, Honore Philippeaux, 23, of 10 Paerdegat 4th Street in Brooklyn, and Omary A. Black, 22, of 115-50 202 Street in Springfield Gardens.
A further investigation by Detectives determined that the defendants were responsible for the following Nassau County Larcenies:
  • 2/14/23 – Grand Larceny 3rd Degree – Wayside Lane, Wantagh
  • 2/27/23 – Grand Larceny 4th Degree – I U Willets Road, Searingtown
  • 2/28/23 – Petit Larceny – Sand Hill Road, Wantagh
  • 2/28/23 – Grand Larceny 4th Degree – Valley Road, Wantagh
Defendant Renoldson is charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 2nd, 4th, and 5th  Degree, and Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree.
Defendant Philippeaux is charged with Unauthorized Use of Vehicle 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 2nd Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession Stolen Property 5th Degree, and Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree.
Defendant Richards is charged with Criminal Facilitation 4th Degree, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree.
Defendant Black is charged with Unauthorized Use of Vehicle 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Degree, and Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree.
All defendants will be arraigned on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
