The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Westbury man for an Assault that occurred on January 31st, 2023 at 10:12 p.m. in New Cassel.
According to detectives, officers responded to a disturbance between two customers at the Westbury Deli located at 994 Prospect Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed a male victim, 34, with a stab wound to his lower left abdomen.
The male victim was transported by a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition.
After a thorough investigation, responding officers located defendant Santos Alexander Andrade Urias, 34, of 242 Sheridan Street near the intersection of Broadway and Sylvester Street who was found with a severe laceration to his right index finger.
He was placed under arrest without incident and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and evaluation.
Defendant Andrade Urias was charged with Assault in the 1st Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree. He was arraigned on February 1st, 2023 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
