Syosset High School social studies teacher Dan Wohl was the big winner in his “Jeopardy!” debut this past Wednesday, February 8, taking home $26,799 and returning the following night as the defending champion.
However, Wohl’s students had apparently predicted his success on the popular television quiz show when he first began teaching at Syosset High School last year.
Wohl’s mother, Danielle, posted with pride on her Facebook page that her son’s students had previously voted him as being “most likely to win Jeopardy!”
“The seniors in my son’s current high school said THIS a year ago about my son, their teacher: ‘Most likely to win Jeopardy,'” she said. “You can watch Jeopardy on Wednesday February 8 to see if they are correct. CAN NOT BELIEVE I AM WRITING THIS!”
“SO excited, so filled with love and pride,” Danielle added,
Wohl said that the experience with Jeopardy! was “amazing, thrilling all around.”
Jeopardy! airs Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. on WABC.
