The Major Case Bureau reports an arrest for an Attempted Bank Robbery that occurred at 9:45am on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 in East Meadow.
According to Robbery Squad Detectives, Defendant Darren Lindo, 38, of 499 Jerusalem Avenue Hicksville did enter the Bank of America located at 2443 Hempstead Turnpike; approached the female teller and passed a note demanding US currency.
The victim, 55, fled her station without surrendering any currency.
The Defendant fled the bank, was located by responding Officers and at 10:03am was taken into custody without incident. There were four employees and zero customers present at the time of the Robbery. No injuries reported.
Defendant Darren Lindo is charged with Attempted Robbery 3rd Degree and will be arraigned on Thursday, February 23, 2023 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
