It beat out House of Blues in Boston and Pier 17 in New York City. The Paramount has been named the number one club in the world by ticket sales, according to Pollstar, a trade publication that tracks data for the global concert industry.

The Huntington-based club, known for its concerts and shows, had gross sales of $10,509,155 in 2022, edging out the next closest competitor, House of Blues Boston, which garnered $10,328,655. The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City raked in $9,942,330 and came in third. Outside the US, a club called MTELUS in Montreal Canada did $7,133,162 in gross sales and came in number six worldwide.

This accomplishment comes on the  heels of being nominated by Pollstar Magazine as “Nightclub of the Decade,” according to a statement released by The Paramount.

In 2014, The Paramount cracked the Top 15 and the Top 5 in 2017.

Opened in 2011 by co-founders Dominick Catoggio, Jim Condron, Brian Doyle and Stephen Ubertini, The Paramount was created from a restored 1927 vaudeville theater.

Billy Joel performed live on stage, followed by a surprise show with Ed Sheeran, who proclaimed The Paramount his favorite venue, according to a statement released by the club. The venue was named one of the Hottest Clubs by Billboard Magazine.

“We are humbled… and proud,” the owners said in a joint statement. “Our success is all in part to our amazing fans who continue to support our vision. Thanks to all the great artists who have graced our stage, the agents and managers who have booked the room, and our tireless and dedicated staff, many of whom have been with the venue since opening over a decade ago.”
