Elmont Man, Three Juveniles Arrested for Stealing Food Deliveryman’s Vehicle

The Third Squad reports the arrest of an Elmont man and three juveniles for a stolen vehicle that occurred on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 5:35 p.m. in Mineola.
According to Detectives, a food delivery driver left his 2019 Toyota Camry unlocked, along with the keys inside of the vehicle, at 122 Old Country Road. After leaving a scheduled probation appointment at 400 County Seat Drive, defendant Alix Dure, 19, of 115-01 Parkway Drive, entered the victim’s unoccupied vehicle and drove off traveling westbound on Old Country Road.
After a thorough investigation officers were able to locate the vehicle at Hoffman Avenue and Parkway Drive in Elmont. Upon Police arrival, four individuals fled from the immediate vicinity of the vehicle. Officers were able to locate and apprehend all four individuals without further incident.
Defendant Dure is charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree, Petit Larceny, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
 Dure was previously arrested on July 27, 2021 for Multiple crimes including Robbery and Assault. He was released with probationary conditions.
All three juvenile defendants are charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle 3rd Degree. They were all released to appropriate guardians.
