The Special Victim’s Squad is investigating a Sex Offense that occurred on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 8:50 am in New Cassel.
According to detectives, a 9-year old female was walking north on Urban Avenue and observed a gray pickup truck following her at a low rate of speed. At Park Avenue the unknown male subject exited his vehicle and began following her on foot towards the Park Avenue school.
The subject did catch up to the victim and was able to reach out and grab the victim inappropriately. A nearby 56-year-old female witness observed and yelled at the subject to stop. The subject then fled on foot west on Park Avenue and then south on Urban Avenue.
