SCPD: 80 Year-Old Woman Dies in West Islip after Intentionally Struck by Vehicle

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman who was intentionally struck by a vehicle in West Islip on Sunday, October 16.
Helga McNulty was a passenger in a Subaru, driven by a man known to her, traveling northbound on Tanglewood Road. McNulty exited the vehicle at approximately 9:25 p.m., near the intersection of Ryan Street, and the driver made a U-turn and struck McNulty with the vehicle, continuing southbound on Tanglewood Road.
McNulty, 80, of Babylon, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip where she was pronounced dead.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
