Over this past weekend, the Long Island Nets hosted their annual Fan Fest event at the Nassau County Police Department Center for Training and Intelligence.
The festival included a youth basketball clinic for 60 children, a Q&A for the participants with the Long Island Nets basketball operations staff as well as appearance from LI Nets’ mascot, Dale the Eagle.
The children who participated in the youth clinic are part of Nassau County Police Activity League, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preventing juvenile delinquency that aids development of good citizenship through positive interaction of youth and police officers.
