The Third Squad reports the details of a Robbery that occurred at 3:35pm on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 in North New Hyde Park.
According to Detectives, the female victim, 52, was walking northbound on Denton Avenue near Hillside Avenue when an unknown male suspect exited a car and approached her. The suspect displayed a black handgun and pointed it at the victim putting her in fear of her safety.
The suspect then grabbed the victim’s pocketbook off of her shoulder, got back in his car and fled the scene west on Hillside Avenue. Proceeds include the pocketbook, an iPhone and an undetermined amount of US currency. No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, with a medium complexion and wearing a white colored hooded sweatshirt. The vehicle is described a red Toyota Camry.
