Supervisor Ed Romaine, Councilman Dan Panico (third from left) and Suffolk County Legislator Jim Mazzarella were at Neville Park in Center Moriches to thank Girl Scout Troop 3200 from Manorville for constructing a beautiful rock garden.
It was created as their Girl Scout Silver Award project to “commemorate the lives of the many we lost to the COVID-19 pandemic and bring comfort to those left behind.”
Local businesses Bay Gardens, GP Landscape and Protech Cable generously donated the materials for the Rock Garden. The Girl Scouts pictured left to right are Sabrina Pelo, Angelina Pulcrano, Cassandra Greco and Isabella Miller. Pictured second from left is Councilman Panico’s son, Grant.
The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can achieve. It provides the chance to show that they are a leader who is organized, determined, and dedicated to improving their community.
