Amityville Man Under Arrest After Drunk Driving Crash Seriously Injures His Passenger

Suffolk County Police today arrested an Amityville man for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured his passenger in Islip early this morning.
Tevin Allen was driving a 2018 Nissan on eastbound Sunrise Highway when he lost control of the vehicle, which struck the median ½ mile west of Commack Road, at 1:17 a.m.
Allen’s passenger, Aliyah King, 20, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious injuries.
Allen, 24, of 413 Albany Ave., was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He is scheduled to be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
