Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney K. Harrison will join the Suffolk County Executive Office of Women’s Services, Suffolk County Police Hispanic Society and Latina Sisters Support Group Mission to distribute backpacks and school supplies to children during an event on August 29 in Brentwood.
Two-hundred backpacks stocked with school supplies will be distributed to children whose mothers are supported by the Latina Sisters Group Mission. The Latina Sisters Support Group Mission is a support organization that works with Hispanic and Latina women who are dealing with breast cancer diagnosis and survivorship.
The event will begin at 5 p.m. at Saint Luke’s Roman Catholic Church, located at 266 Wicks Road, Brentwood.
