Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) recently partnered with the Nassau County Police Department’s Second Precinct to host a successful “Shed-The-Meds” event at the Syosset Public Library. During the event, residents had an opportunity to dispose unwanted and expired prescription medication safely and securely.
“By giving residents a convenient opportunity to securely dispose of their unwanted medication, Shed the Meds events make it easy for all of us to protect the environment and prevent prescription drug abuse and misuse,” Legislator Drucker said. “I thank the Second Precinct for working with my office to make this a great success.”
