Governor Kathy Hochul has encouraged New Yorkers to take advantage of Free File software, which can help millions of taxpayers claim valuable tax credits without the cost of hiring a paid tax preparer. The software provides savings as well as puts money directly in your pocket by ensuring you claim the credits you deserve, including the earned income tax credit (EITC).
Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove) recently joined members of the Kiwanis Club of Glen Cove as they delivered hot meals to a local group home. This delivery marked the resumption of a community outreach initiative that was placed on hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It was wonderful to be back in action with the Kiwanis Club of Glen Cove to deliver a delicious warm treat on a cold winter night,” Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton said. “Thank you to dedicated leaders and members of Glen Cove Kiwanis who work so hard to make a difference in our community!”
