Suffolk Legislator Rob Trotta Visits Jack Haggerty of Boy Scout Troop 888 as He Works on His Eagle Scout Project

On a beautiful Saturday, Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta stopped to check on the progress that Boy Scout Jack Haggerty was making on his Eagle Scout Project at the Suffolk County Legislature Building in Smithtown. The entranceway to the front of the building was refurbished, but still needed some enhancement and landscaping. Jack received approval to take on that task for his Eagle Scout Project.
.
Jack took on the role of supervisor flowerbeds, and then planted drought tolerant perennials. They also added weed barriers and top soil. “The entrance area to the Legislature looks so great you would think a professional landscaper did the job,” said Legislator Trotta. “He did in one day what the County could not do in six years. I truly look forward to his Eagle Scout Court of Honor,” added Trotta.

Legislator Robert Trotta represents the 13th Legislative District, which includes Fort Salonga, Kings Park, San Remo, Nissequogue, Head of the Harbor, and parts of Smithtown, St. James, East Northport, Northport and Commack.
