Nassau Announces Closure of County Golf Course Operations During Coronavirus Pandemic

Share

Last week, New York State deemed golf courses as “non-essential” businesses during the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, Nassau County Executive Laura Curran announced that county-owned and operated golf courses and driving ranges will be closed through at least April 29th to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Curran said that the county will reevaluate their options in the near future.

“I would like to personally thank our dedicated County Parks and golf course employees and look forward to seeing everyone back on the greens soon,” she said.
