On Saturday, April 11th, the Community of Garden City and neighboring residents paraded around – in their cars— NYU Winthrop Hospital to thank the Hospital employees, healthcare providers, and staff at 12pm.
They made posters, played music, honked their horns – all to show their appreciation to NYU Winthrop during this COVID19 Pandemic. The parade started on First Street and went around the entire hospital.
Hospital workers gathered outside and waved back, showing their appreciation before heading back to the business of saving lives.
