Curran Announces Nassau County County Golf Courses Re-Opening for Reservations Only

Nassau County Executive Laura Curran announced earlier this week that all county-owned and operated golf courses and driving ranges were closed as part of continued and coordinated efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19. Nassau County is following the guidelines from state officials which are ever evolving and ever changing.

After the announcement, the state revised its decision and Curran announced that Nassau County will be following suit. Starting Thursday, March 26, 2020 Nassau County will be reopening their golf courses and driving ranges for online reservations only. There will be no walkups allowed.

“We are making changes to ensure that social distancing will literally be a walk in the park,” Curran said. “Reservations will be on a limited basis as we are extending space between tee times. We are also limiting one person per golf cart and driving ranges will be open every other stall. For now, I encourage residents to take a break from the screens and enjoy some of Nassau’s greens while being responsible.”
