The envelope, please. Or rather, the envelopes.

Melville-based Canon U.S.A. has won three product of the year awards from the 2109 Specialty Graphic Imaging Association.

Although they’re not Academy Awards, these are three forms of recognition for the company’s digital imaging solutions.

Awards went to the Océ Colorado 1650 large format graphic printer, the Océ Arizona 1380 XT UV flatbed printer and Océ Touchstone Software.

“It solidifies Canon’s customer-first approach that relies heavily on their input to create innovative solutions,” Shinichi Yoshida, executive vice president and general manager of Canon U.S.A., said.

The Océ Colorado 1650 printer won one award, using Canon UVgel 460 inks and Océ FLXfinish technology. “The new inks provide excellent image stability, even when folded, bent, or wrapped,” Canon said.

The Océ Arizona 1380 XT UV flatbed printer won, using software for complex job creation and optional software for textured printing.

Océ Touchstone Software, a suite of software tools, also won for its use in complex print jobs otherwise difficult to design, preview and print.

Canon’s three award-winning SGIA Products of the Year will be on display in the Canon Solution America’s booth 7016 at PRINTING United 2019, October 23-25 in Dallas, Texas.
